Paula Moore will guide you step by step on how to create this Batik Forget-Me-Knot Bouquet original design using watercolor paints, paraffin wax and ginwashi rice paper, in addition to a few household items. Image size will fit an 8×10 mat.
Workshop Fee includes: Instruction, full pattern, demonstrations, rice paper, batik materials, use of batik waxing brushes & wax pots and dedicated iron & supplies.
Supplies required for the workshop: Black Micron permanent & water proof Ink Pen, Size #05. (available at Art Supply or Office Supply Shops), Watercolors Brushes: 1 1/2″ flat, small 1/4″ flat, small rounds #4, 6 or 8. Water Container, paint mixing pallet, tan masking tape, (pastel pencils -optional) Full roll of paper towels, old vinyl table cloth to protect your work station. portable hair dryer, apron or old shirt recommended, and an old towel. Bring lots of newspapers, (required when ironing off wax. Watercolors: Any brand & colors you have available. For this project, I used: Perm Yellow, Cad Orange, Burnt Sienna, Cobalt Blue & Ultra Marine Blue, Perm Green.
