The first Saturday of the month Drawing Class offers individual instruction so you can come just once or as often as you like. Sometimes there is a clothed model to draw from and other times we may focus on a still life. Those just starting out can have instruction on the basics for drawing and those who want to continue to work on their projects are also welcome! You can follow https://facebook.com/splatterartstudio page to see the focus for the each class. Instructor Audrey Bottrell Parks. Contact her for more information and supplies at 417-848-0894.
About Audrey Botrell
My work has been predominantly realistic portraits of people and animals in graphite, charcoal, pastel or acrylic. Iʼve always been intrigued with bringing a piece of paper or canvas to life with a portrait. There is something so captivating drawing life! It gives me such a rush that I hurry back to do it all over again!”
After spending time in the bluffs overlooking the Lake of the Ozarks, I have been inspired by bright, bold colors often dancing in the evening sunsets. I feel the energy and life of the color. A new kind of portrait has begun. Not one that is necessarily representational, but abstract.
Creating is a calming therapy in a chaotic world. I love to create for the sheer joy it brings. It is also the reason I love to teach, so my students can experience this joy too! I firmly believe the EVERYONE CAN LEARN TO DRAW REALISTICALLY!
