Darlene C. Prater
Darlene Copeland Prater is a mixed media and mural artist. Her love for color and texture shows up in her whimsical, mixed media paintings.
Darlene is inspired by the day to day events that define peoples lives. In a world that is often bleak, her desire is to bring a lightness and sense of humor to her paintings. She also believes in art as therapy, which led her to teach art at Green County Jail for 8 years.
Darlene works with Touche’ Design Group as a mural artist. She has taught workshops and classes in oil and acrylic painting, as well as jewelry making, fiber art, clay, and mixed media.
She has been in a variety of juried shows and received best of show and 1st place awards in several categories.
