Join me for this two-part afternoon workshop!. With just a few colors, you’ll first create a valuable landscape color formula guide where we will find at least 76 color combinations! In the 2nd part of the class, we will then paint a 9”x12” landscape choosing color formulas we’ve just explored. You’ll gain a better understanding how to successfully paint a harmonized muted, atmospheric background, clearer middle ground and a brighter, detailed foreground. Class will be taught in watercolor, however the principles work with any medium should you rather work these exercises using oils, acrylics or pastels. Techniques featured: Color Theory, Negative Painting, Lost and Found Edges.
