Moody Abstract Still Life
Saturday July 20 Time : 9 am to 4pm
Cost per student is $75. $5 studio fee …class size limit to 10 students
The all day workshop will include hands on instruction, examples throughout class and discussion on how to implement mood into a still life painting. Paint application, using the 7 elements of design and areas of interest will be discussed, Students will then create a still life drawing composition with forms of vessels, bowls, fruit and vases with help of instructor and then build an active neutral harmonious color palette to set the mood. Construction and deconstruction of a painting will be implemented into students work throughout the process.

Supply list ( oil or acrylics are welcomed) .
Colors ; Black , white, cad yellow light, yellow ochre, orange, light red or medium red, cobalt blue, viridian, raw umber …if you don’t have these specific colors just bring what you have. We can make it work.
Canvases, each student needs to bring (1) any of these sizes will do…18x24, 20x20, 22x28,,24x24…just as long as it is large to create scale.
Brushes ,,bring an assortment of bristles, soft synthetics large and small. Paper towels, water containers if using acrylics to clean brushes, a sealed container of Gamsol ordorless mineral spirits if using oils to clean brushes, palette paper to mix paint on, palette knifes to mix paint with and a table easel ( splatter has floor easels to use as well). Students will need to bring a sack lunch and drink. We will break for a lunch period to refresh and reenergize!!
